Battery time duration test

Post by m15alien » 04 Jan 2016, 22:33

A two parts video about a simple test to check the battery life.
The first part is the FullHD video (it takes less than 1 minute) of the sunrise, the second part starts from minute 1:23 and is the full high speed (x400 or more) footage of the 15 minutes flight (more or less) recorded from the smartphone.
The battery was ok, no wind. :)

Fly safe, fly happy.

Hi m15alien, how do you take a video with the parameters overlay over the video (at second part)??

Sorry I am quite new to my xplorer V and have not fully tried out all the functions yet.

Hi, i use the app Screen Recorder https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... rder&hl=en
it is very useful to have always a record of the flight, so if something wrong happens i can analyse the rec.

I have experimented with Lollipop Screen Recorder with reasonable results.

I haven't promoted it recently, but I have a tcl script that will generate closed captions based on the hj log files. I have posted an example in the Videos forum.

On an iPhone, you just bring your MacBook with you(must be a model of late 2008 or later) and use the app Screenflow(freely downloadable on Newsgroups and torrent sites) or use the free build in Quicktime. Using older hardware then a Core2Duo could result in frame drops.
Screenflow has a lot of nice options because you could also use all sorts of external tools, multiple camera's(all in sync even from the Macbook itself) Multiple Mics, You can even record the screen of your Mac, iPhone and multiple cameras realtime(With more then 4 external cameras with a 1080p resolution use at least a Retina Macbook Pro 2013 or later because it can become a little bit laggy on your screen.) But for realtime video watching and recording this is the way to go.
I still can't believe people still use Android phones, most apps lack performance, layout and use-ability compared to a iPhone.
